Later she had a different kind if pain localized to her stomach. I gave her some Imodium to stop the intestinal flushing that was starting and that seems to have worked.
But this generalized pain just won't stop. It's kept her in bed all day. Aside from the pain meds she's only been able to take the morning dose of hydrocortisone. There's a cup full of pills she missed because of it. Praying that tomorrow is better.
Be gracious to me, O Lord,
for I am pining away;
Heal me, O Lord,
for my bones are dismayed.
And my soul is greatly dismayed;
But You, O Lord—how long?
Return, O Lord, rescue my soul;
Save me because of Your lovingkindness.
(Psalm 6:2-4)

Hello. Your post reminds of what a heart wrenching experience being a care-giver to a transplant patient is. I remember fighting to have to take pills. There was much drama and many tears....and I, in the confusion and haze of those weeks, would often insist that I had already taken them.....they had to be quite stern with me. They watched as I took every pill. This is not easy on a formerly very independent person!!, As far as the constant pain goes, have you tried posting a question about this on the discussion page of the leukemia-lymphoma society web page?. There are a few people who post there who have undergone second transplants. They might be of some help. I pray often for you all and this horrendous situation. From Psalm 114, the second of the beautiful Egyptian Hillel psalms: tremble o earth at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob who turns the rock into a pool and the flint into a spring of water.
